Our primary product, the light-weight helipad, is as strong as concrete, but light enough to allow options to our customers that they may have never thought possible. They have an optimum service life of 30 years, they are highly portable, and can be dismantled and re-assembled in a new location in a very short time. These helipads are therefore changing the way helipads are perceived ,and are among the safest, most cost-effective helipads in the market today, whether on ground, on the surface of water, on rooftops or on off-shore floating platforms. Not only will this pad never deteriorate the way a concrete pad will, but it can be moved as your facility expands.  It has an internal cavity specifically designed for our state-of-the-art snowmelt equipment. If your current concrete pad is deteriorating, our ground based helipad can be put right over the top of your existing pad, providing you with a new low maintenance surface. Preparation for a new ground helipad with our helipad is as simple as the compacted aggregate base that you would use for a concrete pad. OPERATIONAL SAFETY

Since the beginning of helicopter operations, military, civil and commercial users have been plagued by ground related accidents. Yearly, the toll of fatalities caused by the tail and main rotors rises, as has the number of helicopters that have been damaged or lost after hitting ground obstacles upon landing.

These may be considered risks of the helicopter trade, but in the majority of landings, these risks need not be present.

The Portapad is designed as a tool to assist in eliminating many of the causes of these accidents, plus provide the means for positive passenger control and greater utilization of the helicopter.

The Portapad design height allows safe zones to be created where otherwise, for example if landing directly on the ground, they would be unavailable. Personnel can move freely about the landing zone, allowing passengers as well as supplies to be staged directly at the landing site for faster loading and quicker but safer turn-around times. The elevation provided by a helicopter landing on the Portapad means that personnel are considerably less likely to unintentionally contact the tail rotor even when the Portapad is on a level surface

For high rise buildings above 60 m in height, provision for helipad should be made.

As Per Fire Department NBC Rule C-10 Helipad Is Required on Tall Buildings:

A requirement of helipad is important for very tall buildings because conventional evacuation of occupants through staircases becomes impractical and at times results in fatigue to the aged and children.

LIGHTWEIGHT

An aluminium structure will weigh between 40-50% of an equivalent steel design. In todays offshore operations, where oil is drilled from increasingly deep waters, a 1 ton saving in the topsides weight delivers a multiple factor saving in the structure that supports that weight, which translates into significant savings in material and assembly costs. The weight savings also make aluminium structures easier to handle, fabricate, lift and install. The same benefits are also seen in the construction of onshore elevated helipads, creating enhanced flexibility in design and build.


LOW MAINTENANCE

Properly designed marine alloy structures are virtually maintenance-free. The key to this is the non-corrosive characteristics of aluminium, which means that in most cases the aluminium helipad itself will comfortably outlast the platform or structure on which it is placed. The result is drastically reduced maintenance costs, particularly for offshore and elevated structures where maintenance can be an extremely costly and, at times, dangerous business.


COST EFFECTIVE

An aluminium alloy structure is highly cost effective compared to an equivalent steel construction and in some cases an aluminium structure can also deliver lower initial purchase costs. Once maintenance, inspection and other ancillary savings are also factored in, the overall life cycle cost of using aluminium is significantly lower than any other available material.



SAFETY

 The use of aluminium alloy structures enables the simple incorporation of unique, low cost and innovate safety features such as built-in patented passive fire suppression systems which eliminate fires automatically. Our Fire fighting Enhanced Safety Helideck utilizes the super-fast thermal dissipation ability of aluminium alloy to channel heat away from hot spots, something unique to aluminium helidecks.
